Headquartered in North Texas, The Crowther Group is a company that has a reputation of delivering the highest quality projects for the best price and a commitment to igniting change that impacts lives in diverse communities.

Recently, ConstructReach had a chance speak with Alexandra Cortez, who is currently interning with The Crowther Group via their partnership with Dallas ISP P-TECH (Pathways to Technology Early College High School).

Why did you pick your major?

“Choosing Digital Media made sense for my career because I always liked to draw, paint, and do anything artistic in nature. To have the ability to bring it to life on the computer was really cool to me and allowed me to take my work to another level”

What are you most passionate about learning — personally or professionally — and why?

“I’m always up for a new challenge and exploring different areas of interest because I never like sticking to just one. Experimenting with various computer programs gives me the opportunity to improve my creative skills and stay updated on new technology. Working in the artistic field allows me the chance to express myself and enjoy doing what I love.”

Can you walk me through a project you worked on at The Crowther Group?

“Just to piggyback off Destiny, we’ve both been working on redesigning the company’s pamphlet. A few things were updated such as: the photos, information, and cleaning up the edges for a sleek appearance. With the original pamphlet, it was slightly difficult to view the font, so we touched it up to look more appealing and easily viewable”.

What’s an accomplishment you’re most proud of?

“Being a part of the Early College High School program is definitely one of my biggest accomplishments at the moment. I’ll be graduating this year in May with my high school diploma and associate’s degree at the same time. This journey wasn’t the easiest, but the fact that I’ve made it this far is crazy to me. There were many long nights, but everything was definitely worth it in the end”.
