Building Reachable Opportunities Through Construction
ConstructReach is a workforce development initiative on a mission to diversify and empower the construction industry. We are changing the face of construction: challenging preconceived notions, connecting diverse young professionals with sustainable opportunities, filling the pipeline of qualified candidates for general contractors nationwide — and building a better future for the next generation.
About Us
ConstructReach brings together a generation looking for guidance on the next step with an industry that is ready and willing to accept them.
Our organization was built with the intention to empower our youth and rebuild an industry. We reach general contractors and a diverse student population where they are and create a pathway to an exciting, fulfilling, and sustainable career.
Our youth are the hope and the promise — especially for the construction workforce. We are dedicated to strengthening the future of our industry by connecting young diverse talent with opportunities and career education. At ConstructReach, we believe that when we build community between inspired young people and growing companies, the possibilities are endless and the path ahead is more exciting than ever.

When building stops, almost everything else does as well. With a diverse employee pipeline, we can prevent key economic indicators from crumbling.
Our Why
The construction industry lacks diversity. Of today’s construction employees:
< 11%
are women
< 6%
are Black
< 2%
are Asian
< 11%
are women
< 6%
are Black
< 2%
are Asian
Almost half of the construction workforce is expected to retire by 2031, but less than 8% of high school graduates and just 14% of college graduates are pursuing careers in construction.
It is predicted that 546,000 workers will need to be hired in 2023 in order to meet the construction industry’s demands. In 2022, the industry averaged nearly 400,000 job openings per month.
